How should I report a missing or damaged/defective item from my order?

We take great pride in inspecting all orders prior to shipping. Please report any damaged or missing items to info@mitchellblackhome.com within 7 days of delivery.

Are returns or exchanges accepted?

All of our wallpapers are printed to order. True to our sustainability mission we don’t “put ink to paper” until we receive your orders, which is why we are not able to accept returns or exchanges. We highly encourage everyone to order samples and contact us if you have any questions.

Grasscloth wallpaper is a type of wall covering made from natural fibers. The grasscloth substrate requires a wallpaper paste to stick to a wall or surface. The natural fibers of our authentic grasscloth bring a rich, high end look to just about any space. Our grasscloth collection consists of both patterned as well as solid colors.

Yes, we do recommend hiring a professional installer. Our grasscloth wallpaper does come pre-trimmed, however; your installer may wish to table-trim an edge to achieve a better seam or panel width depending on the wall or site conditions.

After calculating the square footage of your space, we do recommend rounding up by 10%. You can use the wallpaper calculator on any grasscloth product page for assistance. Your professional wallpaper installer can provide exact quantities required for your project.
Our solid color grasscloth is 72 square feet (36in wide x 24 linear feet). Our patterned grasscloth is 68 square feet (34in wide x 24ft linear feet). There is a minimum order quantity of 2 rolls for any patterned grasscloth wallpaper pattern.

You may see slight variations in color due to the nature of the printing or dyeing process. For our patterned grasscloth, we custom print per order. While our solids come from larger production runs, we cannot guarantee the same lot for future orders. If you "under-ordered", you may notice a subtle difference and we recommend double checking with a professional installer who can confirm the amount of grasscloth you'll need for your project. Mitchell Black cannot be held responsible for any incorrect quantities ordered.

Please keep our grasscloth wallpaper away from moisture or harsh cleaners and dust lightly or vacuum. When dusting, we recommend wiping gently with a soft dry cloth only. We do not recommend for use in bathrooms or areas where humidity or moisture might occur as grasscloth is a naturally absorbent material. Extra rubbing or bumping may cause grasscloth to fray.
